| Hi All. New here, but been lurking around awhile. I appolagize in advance if this ? has been asked before. I recently picked up a '86 4runner, mostly in pieces and puttin it back together. When in reverse it would make a knocking noise, but the other gears seamed OK. I've only driven it around very little on my property, but after a couple of pretty bad snows I used it to open up the driveway and in the procces got stuck on a drift. Well......., in the process of unstucking myself, reverse popped out bad and imediatly began to grind to where I couldn't/wouldn't use it. Any ideas how bad (worse case) I messed it up or maybe, hopefully, not that bad ??. The tag says it's a W56. Thanks for any input, scolding or advice. |
