I was wondering if anyone knows how to turn off the daylight running lights. My other problem is that my trans slips once in a while when initially put into gear. It doesn't matter whether the truck is warm or not. All the other gears work fine. I did a trans service on it and no foreign material was in the pan. My truck is a 2001 tacoma pre runner v6.

The slipping could be a bad solenoid. Does it feel like its starting off in 2nd, and not 1st gear sometimes?

No clue on the daytime running lights. Never owned a Tacoma before.

No it feels like the gear is not full applied and then once i rev it up, it will grab into second and work perfectly fine. What is confusing me is that this does not happen all the time, it feels like the valve in the valvebody that controls the 1st gear sometimes gets stuck but i am not sure.
